Purpose of the Role
This is a new in-house role to join the small management team at Trinity Square in Gateshead.
Trinity Square is a mixed-use centre covering shopping, leisure, office and student accommodation. It is a community-based facility in the heart of Gateshead Town Centre and enjoys around 7 million shoppers and visitors each year.
The Marketing Coordinator’s role is a versatile role that combines planning, execution, analysis, and communication to support the overall marketing efforts of Trinity Square to attract and retain shoppers, visitors and those who use the leisure facilities at the centre. It also involves the liaison with and support for tenant businesses as well as developing relationships with key stakeholders.
The Marketing Coordinator will support the Centre Manager and contracted Marketing Services Manger by helping to develop and implement marketing strategies, analyse data, and create content on time and on budget. They will also manage the day-to-day social media accounts and the Trinity Square website to achieve marketing goals.
The role also involves planning and implementing of several annual as well as one-off events for the public throughout the year and supporting third party event organisers and the in-house Commercialisation Co-ordinator with their events.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies:
The Marketing Coordinator will play a crucial role in developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns, including setting objectives and planning promotional activities.
• Manage Marketing Channels:
They will handle various marketing channels, including social media and the centre’s website. This will include content creation, growing fans and followers and responding to comments and queries.
• Analyse Data and Performance:
The Marketing Coordinator will analyse data from footfall figures, customer feedback, Google Reviews, social media and website analytics as well as marketing campaign performance to identify trends, evaluate success, and improve future activities.
• Content Creation and Management:
They will be required to create content, such as social media posts, website copy, and communications with tenants and stakeholders, and for other marketing assets such as creative campaigns.
• Coordinate with Teams:
The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with other Trinity Square departments, like cleaning and customer services over marketing initiatives and events as well as with the wider Savills marketing services.
• Manage Projects:
They will be required to manage specific marketing projects, including event planning, implementation, event management and evaluation, as well as any special promotions. Working effectively and efficiently with Trinity Square’s established third party event suppliers.
• Reporting:
The Marketing Coordinator will prepare the quarterly marketing report for the management meeting which will report on all activities undertaken that quarter and analysis of marketing data. This will be done in conjunction with the contracted Marketing Services Manager. Ad-hoc reports on marketing activity as and when needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication, both written and verbal are essential for this role as well as being able to work with internal teams and external partners.
• Analytical Skills: The Marketing Coordinator will need to analyse data and draw conclusions from it to improve marketing efforts.
• Project Management Skills: They need to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of Marketing Principles: A good understanding of marketing strategies and techniques is necessary.
• Experience in Marketing: Prior experience in marketing or related fields is required.
• Efficient working: Ability to work as part of a team as well as being self-motivated with a proactive approach to working alone.
Working Hours - Full Time 37.5 hours but may be required to working outside these hours
Salary - £25,000 - £28,000
