Manufacturing Supervisor - Reed : Job Details

• Annual Salary: £40,000 + £3,000 shift allowance
• Location: Aylesford, Kent
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee our night shift operations. This role is critical in ensuring the successful completion and adherence to the production and co-manufacturing line within a leading global supplier of ingredients and premix manufacturing solutions for the food, beverage, and nutrition industries.

• Oversee the production and co-manufacturing line from 6pm to 6am on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern.
• Ensure weekly and daily shift plans are completed efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with internal and customer audit requirements.
• Monitor batch documents throughout each stage to ensure correct completion.
• Keep accurate records and complete all required reports for co-manufacturing administration.
• Participate in planning to meet KPIs and deadlines in the most efficient way, including daily measurement and recording of KPIs.
• Attend and contribute to meetings and projects as required.
• Manage opening and locking of the factory as needed.
• Ensure SOPs and GMP are followed by operatives and provide necessary support and training.
• Control day-to-day activities and provide support to Team Leaders and staff.
• Coordinate with the planning department and other departments to ensure targets are met.
• Lead weekly team meetings for updates and feedback.
• Drive process improvements within the factory.
• Manage timesheets for employees and agency staff.
• Record any deviations electronically and carry out various HR activities.

• Proven management skills with the ability to lead and develop a team.
• Experience in project and change management.
• Familiarity with performance management and disciplinary processes.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• High level of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and operate in-house computer systems.
