Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Day ShiftHours: 5:45 AM – 3:30 PM (Flexibility for Planned Maintenance)Location: Overton On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing team.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-established, fast-paced production environment with a company that values technical skill, teamwork, and ongoing development.Key Responsibilities
- Fault finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Planned and reactive maintenance across factory equipment
- Working with control panels, automation systems, and both high/low voltage electrical setups
- Maintenance of site utilities including boilers and lighting
- Keeping maintenance records and managing spare parts inventory
- Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and improve overall efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or food production setting
- Practical experience with equipment such as grinders, VeMag, and check weighers
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 17th or 18th Edition Electrical qualification (desirable)
- Experience with PLCs and automation systems (preferred)
