Job Title: Manufacturing Expeditor/PlannerLocation: WolverhamptonMurray Myers Recruitment is currently seeking a Manufacturing Expeditor/Planner for our client in Wolverhampton. As a Manufacturing Expeditor/Planner, you will play a crucial role in organizing and monitoring material flow within our client's manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Master Production Scheduler, you will contribute significantly to achieving On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery targets by coordinating work orders and managing complex operations.Key Responsibilities:- Prioritize Production Work Orders (PWOs) on the shop floor, track their progress against the Manufacturing Schedule, and ensure their OTIF delivery.- Report risks, concerns, or delays to relevant stakeholders, proposing solutions and recovery plans as necessary.- Resolve scheduling conflicts by liaising with relevant stakeholders across different teams.- Collaborate with manufacturing management to optimize Work In Progress (WIP) levels and ensure material control and traceability.- Monitor Aged WIP, identifying and reporting issues and concerns to manufacturing management.- Update and maintain data within the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and production planning spreadsheets.- Monitor readiness of PWOs for issuance to stores for picking and address shortages in collaboration with stores and production.- Release, amend, and complete PWOs, ensuring accurate updates in the Planning System.- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues by coordinating with other teams.- Facilitate efficient Planning Meetings to enhance communication across functions and establish priorities/actions for colleagues.- Report Planning Team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).- Efficiently manage material movement on the shop floor while maintaining data accuracy in the Production Schedule.Essential Qualifications and Experience:- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide clear instructions to production and office-based support staff.- Ability to persuade and influence colleagues to actively collaborate.- Demonstrated capability to drive changes efficiently and involve colleagues from different functions.- Strong organizational skills, working in a methodical manner with meticulous attention to detail.- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.- Physical capability for moving items and lifting as required.- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with the MS Office Suite.- Good understanding of Product Structure, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Resource Planning List (MRPL).- Experience with ERP systems and/or databases (desirable).- Experience in handling and controlling data in a production environment (desirable).If you possess the required qualifications and experience and are eager to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity
