Manufacturing Engineer - Rolls Royce CWS : Job Details

we are looking for a number of Manufacturing Engineers for a 12 month contract based in Derby.

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer within the EOS team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Overhaul Capability for Engines and Modules assembly processes. This includes involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI), legacy, and current engine programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to operations and execute Manufacturing Engineering activities to develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and contribute to the Zero Harm programme.
• Drive a culture of zero defects and ensure products meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Apply manufacturing process controls and act as MEA or PCA signatory where applicable.
• Identify and implement new or improved manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Plan and manage project activities including schedules, resources, and costs.
• Capture and analyse data to improve manufacturing capability.
• Collaborate with Commodity Leaders and Process Owners to drive consistent best practices.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Familiarity with NADCAP standards, Lab and Special Processes, and special metals such as titanium, nickel, and aluminium.
• Surface Restoration Specialist – skilled in metal spray techniques and surface restoration.
• Chemical Process Support Specialist – experienced in bulk and acid cleaning, chemical control, and data card approval within regulated environments.
• Aerospace industry experience is essential.
• Professionally qualified engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/foundation degree or equivalent).
• General understanding of manufacturing processes and systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in Manufacturing Engineering processes relevant to overhaul and assembly.
