Job Description :

We are Guidant Global and are collaborating with a highly esteemed partner of the Ministry of Defence in the UK. Our client is looking for a proficient Manufacturing Controller who can effectively load, control, and monitor work packages in a manufacturing environment.

What we're looking for:

  • Emphasise relevant experience in stores or manufacturing/inventory control within a manufacturing environment. (highly essential, please ensure to highlight in detail on your CV)
  • Manual handling training, Lifting and slinging training required, including overhead cranes
  • Proficiency in PC skills such as Excel required
  • Forklift truck, medical clearance, ESD training and FLT license required
  • Knowledge of Kanban and two-bin systems are necessary
  • Experience with Enterprise Planning Systems like SAP required is a must.
  • The worker will be responsible for checking in MOD-owned or leased equipment to various areas within MBDA while situated within the MOD stores section.
  • Applicants must have prior experience in Stores and booking in/out of kit.
  • Warehousing experience is irrelevant.

What you'll get to do as a Manufacturing Controller:

The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in Manufacturing control and Enterprise Planning System such as SAP. Familiarity with Kanban and two bin systems is a plus. The role involves managing inventory and stores, stock control, and shelf-life control, which is highly essential. The candidate will be responsible for checking in MOD owned/leased kit to various areas within MBDA and must have prior experience in booking in/out of kit. The candidate will also be responsible for loading the manufacturing cells with the requisite jobs to comply with manufacturing programmes and delivery schedules. Other tasks include packaging using hand tools, issuing and receiving tooling, kitting, and loading and unloading of Lorries.
