About the opportunity:

We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a successful organisation specialising in the research and manufacturing of diagnostic solutions.

Due to a period of growth and expansion, we are presenting an exciting new opportunity for a meticulous Manufacturing Assistant to join their team in Bedford.

As a Manufacturing Assistant you may be involved in one or more projects within the scope of product transfer, liaising closely with the internal Technical Transfer Team and supporting with the production of the diagnostic product range, ensuring all products are efficiently manufactured within standards and on time.

A core part of this role will be operating and maintaining the machinery used in the manufacturing process and ensuring safety procedures are always followed. A sharp eye for detail is key to this role, maintaining accurate records of the production process.

The successful candidate will be highly organised and take pride in ensuring the work area is well maintained and kept clean and tidy.

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

Must haves:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing role.
  • Experience of working within a GMP - regulated environment.
  • Experience in following and documenting processes and procedures.
  • Highly accurate with a great attention to detail.
  • A team player that can work across multiple projects at one time.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
  • IT literate with proficiency across the MS Office suite including MS Projects and Excel, and any other required software.
  • Live within a commutable distance to Thurleigh, Bedfordshire.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience within a similar manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in point of care diagnostic assays or systems.
  • Experience of working in an ISO13485 or GMP-regulated environment.
