About The RoleManaging Director - phs Besafephs Besafe have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, entrepreneurial individual seeking an exciting opportunity to lead and grow our Besafe business.As the Managing Director, you will have full responsibility for strategy, operations, sales, marketing, and profit and loss (P&L). Your mission: to continue driving business growth while enhancing margins.About phs Besafe.. Our unique wash process treats workwear fabrics with care, preserving their waterproof and Hi Vis properties. By extending the garment’s lifespan, we contribute to safety and comfort for hundreds of thousands of people across 3,000 UK sites. Our comprehensive commercial laundering services cover:

  • Commercial Laundry and Repair: A full spectrum of laundry and repair services.
  • Flexible Servicing Schedule: Tailored to business operations.
  • Workwear Cleaning: From rugged PPE overalls to casual polo shirts.
  • Managed Locker Service: Ensuring employees always have the necessary workwear.
  • Safe Disposal: For branded workwear at the end of its life.

  • Understand the market, including competitors, to drive effective growth strategies alongside exceptional service delivery.
  • Develop new services for customers that deliver sustainable returns.

Sales, Digital, and Marketing:

  • Drive year-on-year growth and achieve sales objectives.
  • Set the sales strategy and ensure the sales team meets targets.
  • Devise and implement marketing plans, including digital marketing activities.
  • Set pricing expectations for optimal growth and improved profitability.

Customers:

  • Build long-term customer relationships based on quality product delivery.
  • Grow customer accounts through cross-selling strategies, increasing share of wallet, retention rates, and gap analysis.

Operations:

  • Efficiently run operational activities to fulfil customer requirements.
  • Establish effective service measures and KPIs for assessment and issue identification.
  • Understand legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Achieve operational efficiency through effective scheduling and routing.

Financial Management:

  • Set annual budgets and provide periodic trading updates.
  • Accurately forecast finances and identify areas for improvement.

General Management:

  • Oversee all functions, ensuring effective resourcing and organizational structure optimization.
