Management Accountant Temp - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyHays are delighted to be partnering with a major Ipswich employer who are looking for an interim Management Accountant to join the team in supporting them with monthly reporting, variance analysis and typical month-end close duties. This is a temporary Management Accountant job based in Ipswich for at least 6 to 8 weeks+

Your new roleAs the temporary Management Accountant, you will support the team with month-end reporting, which will include accruals, prepayments, journals and reviewing operational costs, including payroll costs, balance sheet reconciliations and analysis of budget variances. You will also track and reconcile cash transactions from various income streams as well as deal with any queries from the budget holders.

This is a crucial role in the team and requires ongoing commitment which may be extended to 3 months, so ideally, we are looking for a candidate who is happy to commit to a temporary Management Accountant job. This will be based in Ipswich, working 5-days a week with the possibility of hybrid working depending on your experience.

What you'll need to succeedYou will have proven experience of producing monthly management accounts to include accruals, prepayments, journals and be confident in analysing variances as well as investigating ledger entries etc.

You will be at least AAT Qualified or Part CIMA/ACCA Management Accountant with strong Excel skills and ideally have experience working in a large, complex business, as this organisation has many divisions which require individual reporting across all cost-codes. You will use your Excel skills to investigate variances, report on cost trends and have access to various in-house reporting platforms to manage the data.

What you'll get in returnAs explained, this is an ongoing interim job and will pay between £40,000 - £50,000 depending on your experience, paid on a pro rata hourly rate weekly which will include your holiday pay. At the moment, this will be an office-based role, working 5-days in the office based in Ipswich with the possibility of hybrid working.
