Management Accountant - Hybrid (London-based)Full-time, 35 hours per week | Permanent | Hybrid working (2 days in office)

They are seeking an proactive Management Accountant to play a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate management information, effective financial controls, and strong business decision-making within a values-driven organisation.
This is a varied and hands-on role that will suit a motivated individual with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative approach. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, with insightful variance analysis.
Produce internal reports for the Senior Management Team and provide commentary on performance.
Support funding and grant management, including preparing invoices, tracking expenditure, and ensuring compliance with agreements.
Reconcile bank, VAT, funder, supplier, and payroll accounts in collaboration with the Accounts Manager.
Prepare audit and compliance documentation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
Review nominal ledger activity and investigate discrepancies.
Maintain and update finance policies, asset registers, and Gift Aid claims.
Identify opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and financial performance.
Essential:
Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
2-3 years' accounting experience, ideally within a management accounting or similar role.
Proven experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
Strong understanding of VAT and general accounting principles.
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Desirable:
Experience using Xero.
Knowledge of charity sector accounting or fund-based reporting.
Experience with payroll processes.
