Management Accountant - SF Recruitment : Job Details

SF have a new and exciting role as a Management Accountant on a full time, permanent basis based on the outskirts of Derby. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a role where they can make their own whilst working in a great environment. Salary up to £45,000 Study support if required Some flexibility with working from home each week Hours: 8:30am-5pm, potential for flexibility Holidays: 21.5 + Bank holiday + Xmas shutdown (2 week shutdown and don't have to use own holidays for this) Job duties: - Analysing financial data and preparing reports. - Support budgeting, forecasting and cost reduction efforts. - Prepare Financial Statements including the Profit and Loss account, Balance Sheet, Cashflow Forecasts and quarterly VAT returns. - Assist in the production of the Management Accounts, helping to ensure they are produced to the standards and at times required. - Assist in the preparation for financial meetings as required. - Ensuring the day-to-day accounting function is UpToDate. - Processing payments from customers using a card payment system. - Processing payments when approved by the Financial Controller for suppliers - Coordinating the debt chasing procedure post approval from the Financial Controller. - Responsible for ensuring all expenses are correctly claimed with relevant receipts attached. - Processing weekly payment runs for all expenses and seasonal invoices. - Assisting with the filing and reporting of pension contributions each month. - Ensuring that all cost invoices are inputted into the accounts system in a timely manner. - Review, suggest improvements, and assist in the implementation of changes to the processes and controls around all aspects of finance. The ideal candidate must have the following: - Must be able to put together a set of Management Accounts and all Month - End duties - Ideally AAT qualified but will look at qualified by experience or Part Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - Must be able to work to strict deadlines - Excellent attention to detail - Good team player
