MANAGEMENT REPORTING ACCOUNTANT

£47,468 -£50,063 PA DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

SOUTH WEST LONDON

12 MONTH FTC, FULL TIME – HYBRID WORKING

I am seeking an experienced Management Reporting Accountant to join a busy finance team within the public sector. This role is crucial for driving improved financial performance and ensuring statutory compliance within the organisation. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Finance Operations Manager and will be instrumental in supporting strategic financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the finance team and budget holders to ascertain and implement best financial practices.
• Track the organisation's income and expenditures.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets, and risk analyses.
• Assist in making informed financial decisions by preparing analysis and reports.
• Ensure statutory compliance across all financial operations.
• Support year-end accounting and the audit process from start to finish.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Fully qualified or part-qualified/finalist (CIMA, ACCA, QBE) with experience in a similar role, preferably within a medium-sized union or not-for-profit organisation.
• Strong knowledge of tax, inland revenue policies, practices, and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in business modelling and financial forecasting.
• Ability to analyse financial data and identify key areas for improvement.
• Experience in providing guidance and insight to budget holders to support confident decision-making.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and standards that guide good practice and financial control.
• Proficiency in using Sage Line 50 or similar accounting systems.
• Experience in process improvements and streamlining processes, with a proactive approach to challenging the status quo when required.
