Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts to support decision-making processes.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor financial performance and provide insightful reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective financial planning and resource allocation.
- Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with auditors as required.
- Provide recommendations to improve financial processes and systems.
- Assist in managing cash flow and controlling costs within the property sector.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- Ideally working towards a recognised accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Strong experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
