Management Accountant - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyWe are looking for a Management accountant to join a public sector organisation in Manchester on a permanent contract to prepare monthlymanagement accounts Your new roleYou will beresponsible for:

• Work with variousstakeholders with all financial planning, budget and forecast processes andconsolidate results for their areas, meeting with budget holders asappropriate.
• Assisting in thepreparation of the costing and financial aspects of business plans for new and current developmentsand activities
• Seek opportunities tocontinuously improve procedures as necessary to adequately support the businessactivities
• Produce monthly andother ad hoc financial reports and ensure that these are distributed to the relevant BudgetHolder and that appropriate action is taken where necessary
• Responsible forensuring that financial reconciliations are undertaken on a timely basis, as required
• Oversee preparationand inputting of journals

What you'll need to succeedYou will have:

• Actively studying towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA) orequivalent experience
• Experience of workingwithin finance in a large, complex organisation demonstrating ability
• A highlevel of proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other financial software
• Anability to work independently and as part of a team
• Anability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, both verbally andin writing

What you'll getin returnAcompetitive salary of £38,000 - £43,000 per annum, depending on experience, agenerous pension scheme and annual leave entitlement, flexible and supportiveworking environment and a range of learning and development opportunities.
