Management Accountant - Sharp Consultancy : Job Details

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be recruiting a Management Accountant for a fast-growing business in the Doncaster area.

This is a newly created role, working closely with the senior leadership team to produce high-quality management information, drive financial insight, and support business growth.

The Role:

The Management Accountant will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, provide accurate financial reporting, and deliver key analysis to inform decision-making. You will also play a vital role in budgeting, forecasting, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full production of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements, with detailed variance analysis.
• Weekly cashflow reporting and monitoring of working capital.
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support senior leadership with key financial reporting and analysis.
• Manage foreign currency transactions and related reporting.
• Stock reconciliations, cost analysis, and inventory reporting.
• Supplier and commercial reporting to support business efficiency.
• Manage and develop junior finance team members, ensuring finance processes and documentation are accurate and up to date.
• Maintain banking and credit-related relationships.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial tasks including journal posting, cashflow management, reconciliations, and reporting.

About You:

• Qualified, part-qualified, or QBE (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Strong management accounts experience, ideally within an SME or owner-managed environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyse data for commercial insight.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
