Our client, a leading organisation in the construction industry, is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
Management Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Maintain balance sheet accuracy through monthly reviews.
- Produce monthly job costing analysis for commercial teams.
- Support the business partner in maintaining dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Build strong relationships across the business to understand operational challenges and opportunities, especially regarding intercompany transactions within the organisation.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor performance against budget and provide commentary on variances.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with relevant experience in management accounting.
- Strong commercial acumen and a proactive, analytical mindset.
- Proven experience in producing management accounts and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence non-finance stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Construction background is preferable but not essential.
