The Management Accountant will take full ownership of financial operations for both UK & Australia entities. This is a hands-on and varied role, working closely with sales, project, and operations teams, the successful candidate will support end-to-end financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and commercial decision-making.

Our exclusive North Kent based client, a large manufacturing company, has a significant presence in the UK and beyond, and due to significant growth and are now seeking a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.
This role requires a site presence Monday to Friday, with a view to go hybrid (3:2 split) after the first two months.
Description
Management Accountant duties include:
- Complete all aspects of month-end close for the UK & Australia entities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Maintain and manage the UK & Australia finance systems (currently Sage 50 for UK and Xero for Australia; moving to Epicor as part of an ERP implementation project).
- Coordinate the submission of UK and Australia payroll and tax filings in partnership with external advisors.
- Support UK & Australia statutory audit processes and liaise with auditors as required.
- Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and provide insight to support working capital management.
- Collaborate with project and operations teams to understand workload and revenue recognition.
- Oversee the customer invoicing and revenue recognition process, ensuring invoices are raised in a timely manner, resolve queries, and recommend appropriate credit limits.
- Oversee accounts payable processing and approvals.
- Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurate and up to date.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have/ be:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and financial regulations.
- Proven track record of working in a multi-entity or international environment.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business.
- Ideally a driver to get to location.
Job Offer
- Competitive salary of £50,000 to £55,000, depending on experience.
- Generous holiday allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays.

- Standard working hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
- Hybrid working arrangement after an initial 2-month in-person period (4-5 days in the office).
