Management Accountant - Pure Resourcing Solutions : Job Details

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well-established business in Rainham, supporting the day-to-day activities of a busy finance function. This is a key role, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, with responsibility for ensuring the timely and accurate production of management accounts and supporting business performance through meaningful financial insight.This position offers a blend of routine financial operations and forward-looking commercial analysis, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is keen to contribute to continuous improvement. Hybrid working is available, with a professional and collaborative team culture at its core.Key Responsibilities include:

• Complete month-end procedures, including accruals, prepayments, tonnage analysis and maintenance of master contract files
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Deliver timely and accurate month-end reporting packs
• Participate in monthly budget variance meetings with senior managers, providing clear financial analysis to drive performance
• Support the Financial Controller with reporting packs, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
• Provide cost control tools and commercial data to support key operational projects
• Assist with data preparation for the annual audit process

The ideal candidate will be part-qualified or newly qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent), with a solid foundation of experience gained in a finance or accountancy-based role. They will bring advanced Excel skills, strong numeracy, and meticulous attention to detail, paired with a logical and methodical approach to their work.Confident and articulate, they’ll be comfortable communicating across departments and at all levels of the business.
