Management AccountantNorth Suffolk | Permanent / Interim | Competitive Salary + BenefitsOur client, a growing and forward-thinking business, is seeking a proactive and commercially-minded Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to take ownership of end-to-end accounting processes within a dynamic and supportive environment.As the Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and strategic support. You’ll be working closely with senior stakeholders and will be instrumental in driving improvements across systems, reporting, and controls.Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including billing and collections.
• Prepare full monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, deferrals, and intercompany entries.
• Deliver insightful cash flow analysis and support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Support the external audit process, ensuring timely and accurate data provision.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, including partial exemption and reverse charge treatment.
• Produce monthly management reporting packs, including KPI dashboards and graphical analysis.
• Assist with the implementation of new systems, controls, and processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or QBE with strong hands-on experience.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working to tight month-end deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills are essential; advanced knowledge (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, dashboards) is highly advantageous.
• Solid understanding of VAT, balance sheet control, and financial reporting best practices.
• Experience with stock, WIP, and intercompany transactions is a plus.
• Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is desirable but not essential.
