Management Accountant - Finn Laurens : Job Details

Successful and established local business, based in Kingston upon Thames, requires an experienced Management Accountant to join its small finance team. This role is visible and key to the department and reports to the Head of Finance, supervising the work of an Assistant Accountant. It is a varied role requiring:

• Maintain (through the Asst Acct) the AP and AR ledgers and billing processes
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts regularly.
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
• Monitor and manage Fixed Assets, ensuring accurate capitalisation and depreciation
• Prepare and submit VAT, tax returns, and other regulatory filings.
• Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
• Help to develop a frst class control environment, improving processes where possible

This is a varied role and involves customer inter-action, often face to face, so excellent communications skills and fully fluent English are essential. You'll also be someone who is a self-starter and who enjoys responsibility. Your Excel will be strong (including Vlookups ad pivot tables) and you'll have several years' experience of working in a finance department.
