The role of Management Accountant for our client involves delivering financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making. Based in the Harrogate/ York area, this position is key to the wider finance team for an initial 12 month FTC.

Description

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensuring that opex costs are correctly coded to divisions and accurately stated in the monthly management accounts
• Presentation of monthly opex reconciliations to both Head of and Finance Director
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyse financial performance and provide insights to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and audit processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to support business decision-making.
• Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital effectively.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

• A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
• Experience in management accounting role
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Job Offer
