Job Title: Management AccountantLocation: HarrogateSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experienceHours: Monday to Friday An exciting opportunity to join a fast growing manufacturing business! With a strong focus on innovation, customer satisfaction and operational excellence, the business is seeking a commercially minded and proactive Management Accountant to join their expanding finance team. This hands-on position offers broad exposure across the business with the opportunity to deliver strategic insights and contribute to key commercial decisions. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of core finance activities including management accounts, payroll, reporting and variance analysis. The role also budgeting and forecasting alongside wider operational and finance projects. Your Duties as Management Accountant will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
• Daily, weekly and monthly management reporting and KPI tracking
• Balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset register maintenance
• Ownership of payroll processing for both weekly and monthly staff
• Management of invoices and monitoring cashflow
• Variance analysis and investigation of discrepancies across cost centres
• Support with budgeting, forecasting and year end statutory accounts
• Assist with R&D submissions and internal control compliance
• Support and cover Accounts Assistant duties when required
• Work closely with senior management to support commercial decision making
• Assist with any ad hoc tasks or projects as required

 Experience required:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (preferred)
• Proven experience in a Management Accountant role or similar
• Experience within manufacturing / production environment is desirable
• Excellent understanding of ledger management and month end processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Proactive, forward thinking and able to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Full UK Driving Licence with access to own vehicle
