Interim Management Accountant

Up to £425/Day

Partner Financial is collaborating with a high-growth, PE-backed Fintech business headquartered in London, operating at the forefront of digital financial services. With strong investor backing and a rapidly expanding footprint, the company is scaling internationally and investing heavily in technology, product innovation, and strategic partnerships.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller and will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations, helping to ensure robust reporting, financial integrity, and actionable insight to support commercial decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Posting journal transactions to the general ledger and preparing monthly Management Accounts.
• Creating financial slides for Board Meetings and month-end close presentations.
• Reconciling monthly Balance Sheet accounts and analysing and explaining Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet movements vs. budget and prior month.
• Preparing EU entity VAT returns for review and supporting EU regulatory filings by preparing analysis and addressing queries.
• Responding to external auditor requests.
• Partnering with business teams across Europe and the UK.
• Monitoring and continuously improving operational processes and controls.
• Handling other ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by the Financial Controllers or Finance Director

The Candidate:

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent), ideally from an audit background.
• Proven experience preparing management accounts within industry, exposure to fintech or related sectors will be advantageous.
• Strong technical capabilities and ability to contribute to automation and process improvement projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong excel and problem-solving skills.
