Management Accountant - Robert Half : Job Details

Robert Half are pleased to be recruiting a newly created Management Accountant role on a permanent basis with a growing business based in Swindon. This role would suit a finalist/newly qualified accountant seeking exposure to management accounts preparation, analysis and business partnering with long term career prospects.

The role

The Management Accountant will work closely with the Financial Controller to report on monthly figures, and will be a key part of the finance team. This role would suit an ambitious up and comer seeking exposure to working for a wider international group, whilst maintaining an SME feel, and working for an inspiring Financial Controller. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Preparing monthly management accounts to include journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Financial analysis and commentary.
• Business partnering with internal stakeholders including cost centre managers.
• Holding monthly cost centre review meetings, and working with cost centre managers to undertake budgeting and forecasting.
• Working closely with the wider finance team on projects, improving systems and processes and reporting.
• Key contact for the auditors.

Profile

We are seeking an ambitious, forward thinking studier/newly qualified accountant who is keen to add value and progress. Key skills and attributes to include:

• ACCA/CIMA studier/finalist/newly qualified.
• Forward thinking and solutions orientated.
• Intermediate excel (vlookups and pivot tables).
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable with business partnering with non-finance stakeholders.
• 2+ years experience of management accounts prep.
