Management Accountant

£40,000 - £42,500
15-month fixed term contract offering hybrid working for a growing Gloucester based service sector employer. A role that will allow you to take ownership for management accounting and reporting and will have a heavy focus on Excel and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of management accounting and reporting packs for a number of entities
- Updating balance sheet working files through the month-end process
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- P&L review to understand variances
- Providing detailed variance analysis to budget holders
- Detailed Excel modelling to help analyse specific costs
- Input to year-end audit packs and liaise with auditors
- Provide support to Group in relation to statutory reporting
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Candidate profile
- Ideally a qualified accountant but could consider an active studier
- Strong excel - much of the role involves detailed analysis
- Good organisational and analytical skills
- Is happy working in a fast-paced environment
