Management Accountant

Are you an experienced and part or qualified accountant ready to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity with a large and reputable accounting firm for a supervisor to join their dynamic team.

My client is a leading accounting firm known for their commitment to excellence and client-centric approach. Their Business Solutions team plays a crucial role in providing tailored accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor a team of four accountants providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
• Conduct quality review checks on financial documents, including monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and payroll reports, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensuring all monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines are met for all service lines.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and best practices to maintain high standards of service delivery.
• Collaborate with Senior Management to assess team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Assist with training new team members on accounting principles, software systems, and company policies and procedures.
• Assist the Management team with department projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

• ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience conducting quality review checks and implementing quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
