Management Accountant - Kenton Black Finance : Job Details

Company Details and Job Overview:A fast-growth business with a current turnover in the region of £60m are looking to appoint a new Management Accountant. This position has been newly created, due to growth, seeing their turnover doubling year on year. This is a progressive role and one which offers the potential to develop into a Finance Manager post. A business who keep up to date with legislation and changes to the sector, they operate at pace and also offer working arrangements to secure a half day finish on a Friday. Key Rewards/Benefits:• 37 hour working week with flexibility on start/finish times• 1:30/2pm finish each Friday• 50% discounts offered on their products• Ongoing support to ensure skills/career developmentYour role as Management Accountant:Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will oversee a variety of tasks in the finance department. Producing accounts to ensure the timely close of month-end duties, you will also be responsible for budget management and forecasting to monitor performance in a commercially focused role. Working closely with internal stakeholders you will operate in a team of 9. Main role duties: • Line management of 1 member of staff within finance• Preparing full management accounts pack including commentary and analysis• Preparing cash flow statements and cash flow forecasts• Production of budgets and forecasts to monitor and control departmental costs• Reviewing VAT information for external accountants to submit• Reviewing fixed assets and provide monthly depreciation• Assisting with the audit process, handling any queries as required• Ongoing involvement in enhancing existing processes, systems and controls• Regular liaison with a variety of stakeholders including non-finance staff within the business Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:To be considered for this role you will have experience in a fast paced environment, and in a similar role which crosses the requirements above. Whilst fully qualified (ACA CIMA ACCA) is preferred, the business are also considering applications from experienced candidates who are studying or QBE. With a rounded skillset, and hands on approach, you will have a proven track record of adding value, and be prepared to work at pace, in a commercially focused finance function.
