Job Description :

We have a brilliant opportunity to join a growing and exciting business in the leisure and hospitality space as an experienced, commercially focused Management Accountant.

We are a dynamic business with a fantastic workplace culture based in South West London.

As the Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in financial and management reporting and supporting strategic decision-making.

Working in a close-knit team, you will report to the Head of Finance with a dotted line to the Managing Director on various projects and tasks. As you will be responsible for controlling, reporting and budgeting for a multi-site business, there will be great variety and breadth in the role.

This will be a hybrid role with one day from home per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Support month end work across the business, managing deadlines and ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Preparing and reviewing quarterly management and annual statutory.
  • Preparing and processing payroll data from staff rotas and HR system to submit to payroll bureau.
  • Administration and oversight of payments, banking and cash.
  • Company pension management.
  • Manage financial control processes and ensure robust balance sheet control.
  • Monthly income and expense reconciliations.
  • Perform key control over Significant and Regular Payments.
  • VAT return preparation and submission to external accountants.
  • Reviewing and completing annual company tax computations.
  • Business data analysis - monthly and project based.
  • Recommending and implementing process improvements.
  • Providing strategic recommendations to the leadership team

Qualifications and Experience:

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working within a professional finance function.
  • Applicants who are qualified by experience or are part-qualified with the relevant experience would be considered.
  • Experience of banking, processing invoices, performing reconciliations and assisting with payroll are desirable.
  • Multi-site experience with related party transactions.

  • Knowledge of XERO accounting software.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and formulae.
