Management Accountant - Reed : Job Details

This role is seeking a self-starter, a great team player, and someone with experience in a busy accounts department to join the thriving and established finance team in Plymouth. This role is integral to the multi-faceted group of companies, which are at the forefront of the services they provide and have a commitment to environmental impacts by achieving a net zero status.

Day to Day of the role:

• Complete management accounts and all balance sheet reconciliations.
• Work with operational teams to establish accrued and deferred income and work-in-progress.
• Post payroll journals and prepare & submit VAT returns.
• Handle Construction Industry Scheme returns and credit card postings.
• Manage customer and supplier retentions.
• Liaise with year-end accountants/auditors and complete requests.
• Post year-end adjustments to ensure statutory accounts reconcile with management accounts.
• Manage the corporation tax position and provide business analysis.
• Assist with month-end reporting and payment runs.
• Support credit control if required.
• Provide support across the finance function in a growing business.
• Perform any other duties as required.

• AAT Level 3 or above/equivalent with 3+ years sector/role experience.
• Self-starter and great team player with good communication skills.
• Office based on-site in Plymouth - NO hybrid options.
• Experience working in NetSuite or a similar business package.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Experience working in a busy accounts department.
