Management Accountant - CMC Markets : Job Details

CMC Markets is looking for a Management Accountant to join the finance team on a 6-month FTC.

In this role you will contribute to strong financial governance and control, as well as thorough production of timely and relevant financial and management reporting and analysis, to support the core countries in which CMC operates during year-end and month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of accurate and timely financial management information alongside detailed variance analysis
• Participate in monthly close process by completing allocated tasks including, accruals, prepayments and other Adhoc tasks.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date balance sheet reconciliations are produced and maintained
• Keep up to date with accounting standards (IFRS)
• Own and coordinate the timely and accurate production of Financial Statements for the allocated legal entities
• Help execute an efficient and effective year-end audit process by undertaking advance audit planning, providing timely responses to external auditors’ queries where applicable, adhering to the deliverables timetable, and maintaining a strong working relationship with the external audit staff
• Manage ad-hoc project work as necessary alongside "BAU" responsibilities
• Supporting the Group Finance team to ensure the smooth running of the Finance function
• Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality

Key Skills and Experience:

• Part Qualified accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA
• Previous work experience gained in an accounting or finance role
• Intermediate Excel knowledge
• Experience of managing multiple deadlines with a track record of delivering under pressure
