Overview
Our client is a creative technology business working across various sectors. The Management Accountant will play a key role in the day-to-day management of financial operations and support the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for keeping financial information accurate and up to date, approving payments, identifying issues early and ensuring staff use the correct processes.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Raise invoices for UK and international clients
- Set up new clients in the finance system
- Upload invoices and ensure smooth internal processes
Credit Control
- Follow up on outstanding invoices
- Send statements and liaise with internal project leads to ensure all paperwork is in place
Accounts Payable
- Maintain payroll processes
- Set up supplier payments (with appropriate approvals)
- Deal with supplier queries
- Ensure purchase orders are in place
Team Support
- Oversee and support Accounts Assistant
- Monitor expense tools and manage bank reconciliations
- Keep the finance inbox organised
Expenses
- Approve staff expense submissions
Management Accounts
- Reconcile balance sheets
- Handle intercompany charges and reconciliations
- Prepare P&Ls
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns
Cashflow
- Liaise with invoice factoring providers
- Carry out weekly cashflow reconciliations
- Monitor bank accounts and credit card balances
Skills & Experience
- Part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounting (management accounts, AP and AR)
- Strong Excel and general IT skills
- Good knowledge of accounting systems and GAAP
- Familiar with Microsoft Teams or similar tools
- Previous experience working within a Creative Agency would be beneficial
