Maintenance Operative - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

• 2 temp maintenance operatives required in Sheffield on a rolling contract.
• 1 role due to staff member going on long term sick and other due to increased backlog of repairs works.
• Based at a commercial site in Sheffield with occasional travel between 3 other sites when required.
• Need to be general maintenance people really. Handyperson duties (fixing door handles, swapping light bulbs etc.). Any more technical experience even better but nothing too extreme as do have an electrician and a gas engineer in the team and also use subcontractors when required.
• No on-call as part of the role but do have a varied working pattern and shifts. 37.5 hours per week split over 5 days.
• Working 1 weekend in 4. Mainly all 8-4 shifts but do also have a 7:30-3:30 shift and a 12-8 shift that may require cover as part of the rota.
• Process will be: send CV's for review and then select favourites to meet for informal chat in person and go from there.
• Will need an enhanced DBS check as part of the role but should be fine to use the company van for work travel as often go in a pair anyway (will just need own vehicle to commute to main site at start and end of each shift).
• Currently have a team of 4 technicians and 1 assistant.
• Hourly rate to match that of perm staff is £28,675 = £16.48ph premium rate (£14.71ph basic plus holiday)
