Role: Maintenance Manager / Engineering Manager Salary: £54,000 to £60,000 per annum, plus annual bonus, company vehicle or car allowance and benefitsHours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pmLocation: Commutable from Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Rotherham, Gainsborough, Howden, Knottingley, Immingham, Brigg and surrounding areas CompanyWe are currently recruiting an exciting career opportunity on behalf of a reputable and global manufacturing brand company who are looking for an Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager to work at one of their flagship and fast moving manufacturing sites. It's an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager or Engineering Manager to take ownership of this department. To utilise their experience and skills, make change, roll-out improvements and shape the future of this site! The future and plans currently in the pipeline include multi million pound projects around machinery refurbishments, commissioning of new automated machinery and more! It's a role that is varied and carries a lot of responsibility for the site, and requires someone who is passionate, driven, proactive, with a get up and go "hands on" approach.This are looking for someone that has led large teams of Maintenance Engineers, ideally multi-disciplined, in a production and/or manufacturing environment or similar. If you've managed budgets and CAPEX projects, this would be highly desirable but not essential. ResponsibilitiesReporting into the Site and Factory Manager, you will take ownership and oversee/control the Engineering Department across the 4 factories on-site with a team of x3 Team Leaders and 25 Engineers;· Head up and oversee a Maintenance Department and Team of Engineers, including Maintenance Supervisors/Team Leaders and Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineers.· Effectively manage maintenance activities (planned and unplanned), utilising operational excellence and continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and ensure minimal equipment downtime.· Manage CMMS System and its continued integration and development, providing encourage and buy-in from the Engineers.· Drive and implement continuous improvements within the maintenance team to maximise efficiency within the Maintenance department.· Manage a budget up to £1.3M and CAPEX.· Map out and coordinate projects and planned shut-downs throughout the year.· The collation, analysis and reporting of engineering, OEE, cost and process data, in support of key targets and objectives.· Assist in the ongoing strategic plan of the factory.· Take an active role in increasing standards of safety and quality across the business, through highlighting hazards and making improvements in equipment and/or procedures.· People management activities for a team of Engineers including recruitment, holidays, absence management, appraisals etc.· Work closely with the production department to help plant deliver productivity goals.Requirements· Qualified in Engineering, holding qualifications in any discipline, either electrical OR mechanical. Ideally someone who has completed an Apprenticeship and worked their way up.· Experienced Engineering Manager or Maintenance Manager, specifically overseeing a department and team of Maintenance Engineers. · Worked in a similar industry - this could be manufacturing, production or industrial - it must be in an automated environment! · Hands on approach to their work and activities - getting out and on the shop floor and in with the action, be engaging and show a presence. · Must have exceptional people engagement and management skills, including coaching, mentoring, supporting, praising and recognition approach. · Health & Safety - IOSH or similar. · Must have confident problem solving skills and experience.· Has managed CAPEX and Budgets - Desirable.· Passion, desire and hunger for a challenging opportunity to be successful.
