Job Description :

As a Maintenance Engineer you will specialise in plumbing and heating to manage and maintain these services in all our sites within the property portfolio, undertaking both reactive and planned works.

You will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer working in our varied commercial and residential properties, working as part of a small team within the Facilities and Services function.

You will be familiar with creating and completing all required maintenance documentation and updates on our electronic systems. This will include creating written job plans and technical reports.

Successful applicant will be required to support the department’s on-call rota. This would include any pre-planned works and responding to equipment issues. Therefore, application of good fault finding and communication skills are essential.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ or City and Guilds certification in a relevant category.
  • Plumbing, heating and ventilation.
  • F-Gas/refrigeration.
  • Mechanical maintenance engineering.
  • Gas safe trained.
  • Renewable energy installation and maintenance experience.
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Hot and cold water systems.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of LEV systems is beneficial.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned maintenance activities.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults on a wide variety of plant including Water Heaters, Calorifiers, Motors, Circulating Heating pumps, Vented and Unvented Systems, Boilers, fans, drives, ground and air source heating systems. Additional responsibilities for legionella management.
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety obligations are met and coordinated with the project delivery team.
  • Ensuring sites are maintained in a clean manner at all times.
  • Producing, managing and maintaining critical spares lists.
  • Supporting the Estates Manager with the development of process and procedures.
