Maintenance Engineer - Bennett & Game Recruitment : Job Details

My client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team at a modern engineering and manufacturing site in the Worthing/Littlehampton area. This hands-on role is focused on keeping production running smoothly through preventative maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and continuous improvement across a wide range of equipment.

• Carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot, fault-find, and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
• Work with control systems, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and overhead cranes.
• Perform routine servicing and inspections in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow strict Health & Safety procedures.
• Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives on site.

Essential:

• Recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship to ONC/Level 3 or equivalent).
• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background in a manufacturing environment.

Desirable:

• 17th/18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
• IPAF, FLT, or boiler operation certificates.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley/Siemens PLCs.

• Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year
• Regular overtime available
• Full benefits to be discussed
