MACHINIST 

Monday - Friday: 8PM - 4.30PM

£27,000 - £30,000 per annum

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a MACHINIST to join our well-established client based in SWINDON on a full-time permanent basis.

Day to Day Duties 

• Check all sizes and designs are correct as per the paperwork
• Check the accuracy of the quantity of the product being passed onto the next process.
• The Production Schedule must be followed as your part in achieving the agreed delivery date and agreed OTIF (On Time In Full) levels.
• Ensure all our stringent quality standards are met and followed at all times by following the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and drawings supplied
• Resolve any deficiencies to supply a customer order raising anything that you can’t solve yourself with your Team Leader as appropriate.
• Progress any rectification work necessary to complete the customer’s order
• Raise potential improvements to the Processes and Procedures so these can be reviewed and appraised to ensure that they are the most appropriate and cost effective
• Maintain and improve upon the Company quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and effective working area
• Ensure that the Company Health and Safety policy is adhered to at all times.

Essential Skills

• Furniture Machinist experience is essential
• Skilled in measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometers) for precision work
• Understanding of quality control processes and defect identification

Desirable Experience

• Capable of identifying and resolving basic machining or sizing issues independently
• Looks for process improvements and quality enhancements

Training

• Industry related training and ongoing support
