Role Overview:
As a Thermoforming Setter Operator, you’ll be working with Illig and Kiefel thermoforming machines, ensuring smooth operation, quality output, and minimal downtime. You’ll carry out tool changes, operate inline systems (extruders, padding machines, punch units), and help maintain high standards across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, start up, and shut down thermoforming machinery
- Perform tool and insert changes within standard times
- Set and run extruders, blenders, punch units, and glue systems
- Monitor product quality and resolve issues promptly
- Log accurate production data using the ERP system (M3)
- Carry out basic machine maintenance and routine cleaning
- Work with team members and shift leaders to meet production targets
- Support with packing and other ad hoc Operator duties as needed
What You’ll Need:
Essential:
- Background in a production or manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in machine setting
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
- Awareness of health & safety in an industrial setting
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable:
- Experience with thermoforming machines or plastic forming
- Familiarity with ERP systems, especially M3
Shift Pattern:
- Panama Schedule – 12-hour shifts covering days, nights, and some weekends
- Average of 42 hours per week
