Owen Daniels are recruiting for a fantastic family run Manufacturing business for a Machine Operator on a three-month temporary basis with a strong likelihood for the role to become a permanent role after the three months.In this role, you are expected to undertake a range of manufacturing activities associated with the surface preparation of fabricated carbon steel pipework & fitting prior to undertaking a heat soak process as part of a final Fusion Bonded Coating process. - Coordinate with production supervision to obtain shot blast schedules, requirements, and timelines.
- Safely load and position products into the shot blast booth using appropriate equipment (OHC and FLT), ensuring operator accessibility and safety.
- Ensure doors are securely closed during operation, PPE is worn, and shot blasting is conducted without hazard to others.
- Conduct and record all required post-blast inspections in accordance with quality procedures; clearly label all finished products.
- Maintain communication with production supervision regarding consumables, breakdowns, and ensure good housekeeping in all manufacturing areas.
Machine OperatorExperience/Skills/Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
