Reed Wolverhampton are currently recruiting for a growing client based in Kidderminster for an Logistics Supervisor on a full time, Permanent basis. As a Logistics Supervisor you will assist the Shipping Manager in the despatch office’s operational and administrative functions. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about developing a career in supply chain management, logistics, and international trade. Full training will be provided, and this supervisory-level position offers a chance to engage in all aspects of the field.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Utilise in-house systems to produce labelling and paperwork for item despatch.
  • Ensure all goods collected by third-party providers are signed for and comply with Health & Safety regulations, company handbook, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Raise purchase orders for despatch area suppliers/services and create ICC compliant export/import documentation such as certificate of origin, customs declaration, packing list, bill of lading, commercial invoice, warehouse receipt, insurance certificate.
  • Collate paperwork and files to ensure completeness in accordance with company processes.
  • Manage timely invoicing/POD retrieval and extensive liaison with colleagues, suppliers, and customers’ agents to make and agree on despatch arrangements.
  • Operationally manage two despatch operatives, ensuring adherence to company HR policies in conjunction with the Shipping Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience / working knowledge of Shipping : Export/Import customs procedures and international trade rules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail.
  • Intermediate IT skills in standard Microsoft packages.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and re-prioritise workload.
  • Flexibility in tasks and hours, especially at key times of the year.
  • Daily use of an ERP system.
Experience:
  • Essential: Experience in Export/Import customs procedures and international trade.
  • Desirable: Experience in managing team members and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
