Logistics Broker / Transport Broker HinckleySalary: £34,000 rising to £38,000 after 6 months probationary periodDuration: Permanent Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) between 07:00 to 09:00 start timeEmpowered Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Broker / Transport Broker for one of of clients based in Hinckley. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Broker / Transport Broker to join a small, dynamic team within a busy subcontract haulage operation.Logistics Broker / Transport Broker Key Requirements:Empowered Personnel is looking for a results driven Logistics Broker / Transport Broker to manage and coordinate transport solutions for clients. This role is 95% B2B sales and account management, highly reactive but also requires someone proactive to drive repeat business and generate new business opportunities. You will be working to set targets and KPIs and our client is looking for someone who is motivated to overachieve, not just meet expectations. You must be money motivated, proactive, and able to work under pressure using your own initiative. Working closely with customers and haulier partners, you will deliver cost effective, efficient and reliable transport services. Excellent communication skills and strong geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland are essential to be considered for this role.Logistics Broker / Transport Broker Key Responsibilities:Source, negotiate, and secure transport solutions as a Logistics Broker / Transport BrokerBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers and hauliersDrive B2B sales to meet and exceed targets, focusing on repeat and new business opportunitiesMonitor delivery performance and notify customers with any delays Work on a rota basis to provide on-call support (5/6-week pattern)Use transport management systems such as Mandata and Haulage Index to manage operations effectivelyContribute positively as part of a small team, supporting colleagues as requiredWork to set targets and KPIs, striving to overachieve consistentlyLogistics Broker / Transport Broker - What’s on Offer:On call rota (1 week in every 7 increasing to 1 in 10 as team grows) with £100 additional pay per week whilst on call22 days holiday plus 8 statutory bank holidaysAuto enrolment Starting salary £34,000, rising to £38,000 after 6 month probationCompany bonus scheme (eligible after 3 months’ service)Monday Friday, 8.5-hour working day (45 hours per week including 30 min paid break) Flexible start times between 07:00 - 09:00Pension scheme after 3 month serviceLogistics Broker / Transport Broker Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Logistics Broker / Transport Broker, freight broker, or transport planner is essential Experience using Mandata and Haulage Exchange essential Strong B2B and B2C sales experience with a results driven mindsetMoney motivated, proactive, and able to work independentlyAble to react quickly to operational demands while driving repeat and new businessExcellent negotiation, communication, and relationship building skillsStrong geographical knowledge of the UK and IrelandCommercially minded with a focus on delivering value and exceptional serviceAble to work under pressure, meet targets and KPIs, and overachieve consistentlyThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Logistics Broker / Transport Broker to join a supportive team and make a real impact in a fast-paced, busy subcontract haulage operation.For further information or to apply, please call Empowered Personnel on or send you CV to
