Working hours: 35h p/ week, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (1h lunch break)

Logistics and Operations Assistant - What You'll be Doing Each Day:

The person will be part of the Operations team to assist with the imports of organic and speciality sugars to the customers in Europe and to safeguard documentary excellence. To ensure full oversight of the supply chain network, this person will work closely with colleagues in the Commercial team.

Logistics and Operations Assistant - Responsibilities:

• Administration of the shipments from origin FOB to destination, either CIF or DAP/DDP to customer premises.
• Checking thoroughly shipping documents issued by shippers.
• Booking containers with forwarders and/or shipping lines.
• Arranging transport from warehouses to final delivery locations according to customer schedule.
• Processing invoices for goods and for various costs (FRT, TRP, INS, FOBBING, Packaging).
• Sending samples to customers.
• Sending certifications and documentations to customers.
• Requesting transport and freight rates.
• Following up customers’ requests.

Logistics and Operations Assistant - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

• Logistics experience in soft commodities.
• Shipping documentation knowledge.
• Great communication skills with internal as well as external stake holders of the business.
• Excellent customer service.
• Computer literate.
• ITAS system - would be a plus.
• Languages: English fluent; Spanish, Italian, French, German - would be a bonus.
• A business degree - is required.
