Locum Planning and Highways Lawyer – Up to £60 per hour (umbrella) – 3-6+ months – East Midlands  

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Local Authority who are seeking a Locum Planning and Highways Lawyer to join the team on an interim basis.

Role Overview:

Rate: Up to £60 per hour (umbrella)

Working Arrangements: Remote with possible Planning Committee attendance

Duration: 3-6 months with the possibility for extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice on planning, highways, and public rights of way law to the members and Senior members of staff
• Advise on S106 agreements, S38 & S278 highway agreements, alongside traffic regulation orders and all other related legal matters
• Collaborate with council officers to support planning and highways projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies

About You:

• Experience in planning and highways law
• Public Sector/Local Government knowledge is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and provide expert legal advice
