Are you a HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist with experience in Microbiology/Bacteriology? We have an exciting high-paying locum opportunity available in Liverpool, working within a leading NHS Infection & Immunity department.

• Job Title: Biomedical Scientist – Band 6

• Specialism: Infection & Immunity – Bacteriology

• Location: Liverpool

• Rate: £27 per hour

• Start Date: ASAP

• Contract Type: Locum

• HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist

• Proficient in processing and interpreting:

  • Urines

  • Routine swabs

  • High vaginal swabs (HVS)

  • Priority swabs

  • Blood cultures

  • Urgent fluid samples

  • Enteric PCR testing

• Strong knowledge of bacteriology workflows and diagnostic techniques

• Experience using BD Kiestra automated microbiology systems

• Excellent pay rate – £27/hr
