A well-established nursery in Bristol is seeking a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their dedicated team as soon as possible.

This nursery provides a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to explore, experiment, and develop independence through play. With a strong ethos focused on love, care, and inclusion, the setting is committed to supporting each child’s unique potential and fostering a lifelong love of learning.

The Role

As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of children from birth to five years old. You will plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support communication, physical development, emotional resilience, and social skills. You’ll observe and assess progress, ensuring that each child receives personalised care and learning opportunities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead creative, play-based learning activities that support all areas of development.
  • Build warm, positive relationships with children, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child’s progress.
  • Ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Follow safeguarding and welfare policies at all times.
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s development in line with EYFS requirements.
  • Support children’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
  • A strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and child welfare.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
