OverviewMy client are looking for a self-motivated LEV Engineer to join their expanding team. The role entails LEV testing and installation of relatively small scale extractors in Design & Technology departments within Schools, Colleges and Universities. The role involves travelling throughout education facilities in the UK on a remote basis therefore the applicant must be able to plan weekly routes and accommodation if needing to stay away from home.
You will either have an LEV qualification or experience within LEV testing with good communications skills and be able to work on your own.
Responsibilities
- Conducting statutory compliance testing of LEV systems, including fume cupboards, and performing airflow checks on existing systems.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to LEV systems, carrying out small repairs, and responding to reactive repair requests.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Installing new LEV systems and commissioning them to ensure proper functionality.
- Writing clear and concise technical reports on findings and actions taken.
Experience
- A good understanding of LEV system components.
- Ideally a qualification such as BOHS P601 or experience in LEV testing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and reporting findings.
- A proactive attitude and ability to work both unsupervised and as a team.
- Able to apply for a DBS
- A valid driving licence for travel to client locations.
