Job Description :

The Lettings Consultant will act as the face of the lettings department, responsible for building relationships with landlords and tenants, conducting viewings, negotiating lets, and ensuring a smooth rental process from instruction through to move-in. In addition, the role will involve day-to-day property management duties, ensuring a high standard of service is delivered throughout the tenancy lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Registering and qualifying applicants, matching tenants with suitable properties.
  • Conducting property viewings and providing feedback to landlords.
  • Negotiating tenancy terms between landlords and tenants.
  • Assisting with the marketing and promotion of rental properties.
  • Processing tenancy applications, referencing, and tenancy agreements.
  • Ensuring compliance with lettings legislation and company procedures.
  • Handling tenancy renewals, extensions, and rent reviews.
  • Coordinating property maintenance and liaising with contractors and landlords.
  • Conducting regular property inspections and preparing inspection reports.
  • Managing deposit registration, check-in and check-out processes.
  • Addressing tenant queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Supporting branch lettings and property management targets and KPIs.
  • Representing the business in a professional, approachable, and trustworthy manner.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in lettings, estate agency, or property management
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Confident negotiation skills with the ability to close deals.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
  • Target-driven and motivated to achieve results.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
