Job Description :

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Secretary with strong litigation experience to support the legal team within a well respected, growing Westend practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of litigation processes, providing high-level administrative support to solicitors and legal executives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners in the litigation department.
  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and court bundles.
  • Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Handle telephone and email correspondence with clients, courts, and third parties.
  • File and manage legal documents both electronically and in hard copy.
  • Assist with billing, time recording, and expense claims.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with legal procedures and firm policies.
  • Liaise with court officials and ensure timely submission of documents.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on litigation matters.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary within a litigation environment.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and litigation procedures.
  • Excellent typing and document production skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional and confident communication skills.
