We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Secretary with strong litigation experience to support the legal team within a well respected, growing Westend practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of litigation processes, providing high-level administrative support to solicitors and legal executives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners in the litigation department.
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, and court bundles.
- Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
- Handle telephone and email correspondence with clients, courts, and third parties.
- File and manage legal documents both electronically and in hard copy.
- Assist with billing, time recording, and expense claims.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with legal procedures and firm policies.
- Liaise with court officials and ensure timely submission of documents.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on litigation matters.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary within a litigation environment.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and litigation procedures.
- Excellent typing and document production skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional and confident communication skills.
