Legal Secretary – Family Department

Permanent – Full Time

Salary up to £27,000

Based in Bolton – Office Based

Medlock Partners are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded regional law firm, who are looking to appoint a Legal Secretary to join their busy Family Department in Bolton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in family law to join a supportive and friendly team, in a firm known for its strong client focus and long-standing presence across the North West.

Key responsibilities of the Legal Secretary role:

• Providing full secretarial support to solicitors within the Family Department.
• Audio typing and preparing legal documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Handling client and third-party calls in a professional manner.
• Arranging appointments, managing diaries, and scheduling meetings.
• Carrying out general administrative and database management tasks.

Key requirements for the Legal Secretary role:

• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within family law.
• Strong typing and IT skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
