QED legal are proud to be working with a reputable and well-established law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to clients.They are actively  seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal PA to join a dynamic Personal Injury team in Manchester. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to their legal professionals, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the department.Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Assist lawyers and fee earners in managing their caseloads by preparing legal documents, correspondence, and court forms with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Case Management: Maintain and organise case files, including electronic and physical records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is readily accessible to team members.
  • Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing updates on case progress with professionalism and discretion.
  • Diary Management: Coordinate meetings, court appearances, and other appointments for legal professionals, effectively managing conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Document Drafting and Review: Prepare draft letters, pleadings, and other legal documents under the guidance of lawyers, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and procedural requirements.
  • Billing and Finance Support: Assist with time recording, billing, and invoice preparation, maintaining accurate records of client expenses and disbursements.
  • File Opening and Closure: Assist with the opening and closure of client files, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • General Administrative Tasks: Handle general administrative duties such as answering phones, managing emails, photocopying, and filing, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Desirable candidate:
  • Previous experience working a legal PA within personal injury is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office packages
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology related to Personal Injury law.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant legal qualifications or certifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
